Dubai Marina is a modern luxury living while Al Sufouh is a bit traditional. The whole e area is undergoing remarkable changes one of the vivid example is the building of the palm Jumeirah. The official name Marina is Marsa Dubai but it is not in common use. Marina is full with apartments, with just a few townhouses. The selling price of a two bedrooms apartment in Jumeirah Beach residence is more than a million dirhams while the rent of a same property in Marina towers is around Dhs 160,000. Dubai Marina is the first freehold real estate in the UAE, and that is why famous for investment. Contrary to Marina Al Sufouh has all villas some are new some are old but most of them are expensive. The rent of a decent four bedroom villa is around Dhs 210,000. There’s a Spinneys supermarket along the Marina Walk plus a pharmacy, a bookshop, a classy florist, and a liquor store, and a number of ATMs. Ibne Battuta, Madinat Jumeirah and Mall of the Emirates are just a few minutes’ drive away. There’s only a small piece of free beach left along this stretch, because it is all occupied by the hotels at the Marina, but this is also become a part of Jumeirah Beach Residence beach club ( although public access may still be possible). The nearest free beaches are in Umm Suqeim and Jumeirah. The area is not much green – the nearest park is near the beach in Umm Suqeim. There are several choices for fun and eating out like the Ritz Carlton and the Hilton Jumeirah as well as the Grosvenor House, all have some outstanding restaurants and bars. Chandelier and Johnny Rockets are located on Marina Walk. There is also a health spa in the Mariana. A good number of hotels have beach clubs and leisure facilities but membership is expansive and many have waiting lists. There are numerous bars and restaurants at Madinat, and the Hard Rock Café is near the Media City. Entertainment and leisure choices will increase with the opening of the Palm. The Emirates Golf Club is just over the road. Rashid is the nearest government hospital while the nearest government clinic is in Umm Suqeim. The Neuro Spinal hospital opposite Jumeirah beach Park offers 24 hour A&E, and their own ambulance. In other direction, the Cedar Hospital at Jebel Ali also has round the clock emergency care. Dubai College in Al Sufouh is one of the good options, as well as the American University of Dubai and several other educational establishments are located within Knowledge Village. Al Sufouh also has the Wellington School and the International School of Choueifat. Due to the construction of new interchange getting in and out of the area does not remain a problem although Media city and Knowledge Village can get busy in certain hotspots. Parking is not a problem if you have access to your building’s car park, there’s also an underground car park at Marina Walk. Al Sufouh has ample place for parking outside the villas. Most of the apartment blocks have 24 hour security and underground parking. The only irritation is the ongoing construction in the Marina, and the roads around Jumeirah Beach Residence because of this traffic delays and extra noise at night.
