Karama lies near the heart of own town Dubai, its central location makes it a flourishing commercial area with number of facilities. There are several low cost restaurants, supermarkets, shops and the Karama market .Affordable rents make Karama a better choice for Dubai residents on a budget. Most of the housing is in low-rise blocks with variety of apartments ranging from studios to three bedrooms in the older buildings. The most popular apartments are along Zabeel Road or in the vicinity along Trade Centre Road, opposite Spinneys. The rent of two and three bedroom apartments is around Dhs 75,000 and Dhs 135,000 respectively. You can shop at your doorstep here. Spinneys and a Union Co-Op is right on the trade Centre Road. There are number of small grocery shops, fish market as well as popular Karama Market. Burjamaan Mall offers good shopping. Cheap and cheerful Avenue and Sana are nearby. There are number of beauty salons, barbershops, laundries video rental shops and independent fitness clubs. Central post office, several banks and ATMs are near to the area. There are quite a lot of small public areas between buildings and next to the main shopping area. Zabeel Park is nearby and can be accessed via a foot bridge. Karama has multiple selections of restaurants to fit all budgets. Arabic, Filipino, Indian and Pakistani restaurants offer eating out, takeaways and home deliveries. As far as Bars are concerned Karama houses the famous Rock Bottom Cafe.The Trade Centre area also has cafes, restaurants, bars and nightclubs and they are only a five minute drive away. For emergencies Rashid Hospital is just a few minutes away. Karama also has several convenient reasonably priced medical centres, doctors and dentists. There are no famous schools or nurseries in the neighborhood but there are plenty of choices in adjacent areas and reaching them is relatively easy. Traffic is frightening at rush hours. Parking is inadequate and driving around in heavy traffic looking for a place is annoying. Walking is better than driving in the area and remember it’s not a very child friendly with regards to traffic. Karama is a busy area as compare to other residential areas with significant traffic noise. Roads are usually packed and getting in or out of the area during peak hours is a hassle
