Al Barsha

Al Barsha is consisted of two distinct zones, each with their own housing options. The main area has large villas with big gardens, while Al barsha 1, near Mall of the Emirates, has a growing number of apartment blocks. The area is particularly suited for Media and Internet City workers but the E44 and E311 highways make most of Dubai accessible.
Where to Stay
Housing here is mostly in fairly new form, three to five bedroom villas. Almost 75%of the inhabitants of the area are local. Because of quiet and peaceful neighborhood villa area is popular with families. Price for villas range from Dhs100,000 for a three bedroom and go up to Dhs 160,000 ,while one could pay up to Dhs 330,000 for a four bedroomed place. Apartment al barsha 1 start from around Dhs 70000 for a one bedroom and Dhs 85000 for a two bedroom but get snapped up quickly.
Where to Shop
A huge Carrefour is situated in the Mall of the Emirates. A Lulu’s hypermarket a Choitram and organic foods & café are operating in the Greens. You’ll find a few ‘corner Shops’ in the area and two petrol stations.
Fun & Leisure
One of the largest shopping malls in the world is situated in the area and numerous cafes other than that not so many options of entertainment are available. The mall of the Emirate has Kampinski Hotel which has its own Restaurants and bars. Only at a short distance are the Marina, Madinat Jumeriah and Umm Sequim with plenty of other leisure and entertainment options. The Greens and Emaar Business parks boast a number of eateries.
Hospitals & Clinics
Medical Specialist Centre in the new Khoury Building near Sheikh Zayed Road is the only private clinic of the area. The Nearest government clinic is in Umm Suqeim and the nearest emergency hospital is Rashid hospital.
Where to Study
ubai American Academy and Al Mawakeb are some of the few schools located in the area. Other good schools Can be found in Near by areas, such as Wellingtons international School Off Sheikh Zayad Road, JESS in Arabian Ranches and Dubai College in Al Sufoush. Nurseries Include Seashells and Oasis In the lakes.
Traffic & Parking
Generally Traffic isn’t bad however interchange 5 and the traffic light near the Greens are hotspots. Sheikh Zayed Road is affected by slow traffic during Peak hours, but there are plenty of shortcuts. It’s easy to get onto the E44 or E311. Parking within Al Barsha is not a problem.
Safety/Annoyances
Al Barsha is generally safe and quiet, with a small number of loud mosques and some construction work. Street lighting is almost absent, though massive power lines run by two areas of AL Barsha.
